Creativity Challenge
To kick off our Profile of the Graduate focus on CREATIVITY, each class participated in the 30 circles challenge during our assembly. Each student had only 15 seconds to use their creativity and create some type of object out of a blank circle. The results were very interesting!
4th Grade Scientists
4th grade scientist investigated kinetic energy. Students explored if changing the mass of a water bottle impacts the transfer of energy in a collision.

News from the Art Department
Music News
This month in music 5th graders are wrapping up their bucket drumming unit. Through our unit students have developed more advanced rhythmic skills and solidified their foundation of steady beat. 4th graders are doing a great job with their Keys to Treasure unit! Through this keyboard unit students are learning to play simple one-handed songs while earing points for their team on various missions.
We are looking forward to our 4th grade band demo taking place next Wednesday, January 24th at 2:00pm in the Center School Gym. Families of band members are encouraged to attend! If you have any questions about the even please reach out to Miss Gould directly.
4th Grade Band
Our 4th-Grade Band is excited for their mid year performance next week! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase how much they have grown since September.
EHNS Visit
Grade 4 students built snowmen with our EHNS buddies. The weather has been a bit too cold for outdoor recess, but it is never too cold for indoor snowmen!
Girls Who Code Session II
Attendance Matters
If a student has four unexcused absences in one month or 10 unexcused absences in a year they are classified as truant. If a child misses 18 or more days in a school year – excused or unexcused absences – the student is classified as chronically absent.
