CSD Biliteracy Pathway Recognitions Program Information for Parents & Families
Achieving advanced levels of knowledge and proficiency in another language takes many years and must start early with young children. The CSD Biliteracy Pathway Recognitions Program establishes a system of "pathway" awards from elementary through middle school recognizing benchmarks towards biliteracy. These awards are designed to recognize student engagement in the pursuit of language skills in two or more languages, affirm positive attitudes towards multilingualism, and validate the use of multiple languages for all students. Additionally, these awards promote the need for students to continue in long-term, sequential world language study in high school. For more information, please visit our district website at https://www.cambriansd.org/Page/3386.
You are invited to a Zoom Meeting to find out more information about the CSD Biliteracy Pathway Recognitions Program:
When: Dec 14, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Hosted by Linh Nguyen, Assistant Superintendent of Ed Services
Please register in advance for this meeting via the following link: REGISTER HERE!
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Technology
There are many resources out there to help parents create healthy habits for their children when it comes to tech use. Over the next few newsletters, we’ll review a few of them.
Let’s start with Common Sense Media. This is an excellent “goto resource” for finding objective information and reviews on all kinds of media including gaming, books, and movies. You can also learn more about important topics such as screen time, social media, and cell phones.
More information about Common Sense Media and other digital safety resources are available on Cambrian’s Digital Safety page.

Hello Cambrian Families! Cambrian School District and the Cambrian Education Foundation (CEF) invites you to attend Family Code Night!

No coding experience is needed and laptops will be available for use. This is a great experience to share with your kids. This event is inspired by the Hour of Code from Code.org®.
We have one remaining event at Price Middle School on Dec 7, 6:30-8 p.m. - Please register here! All grades are welcome! If you missed the event at your child’s school, please feel free to register for the Price event!
