Pre-K - Savannah Albright

"Savannah has shown amazing growth over the last month. She is always ready to help others, answer questions, and works hard independently. She exemplifies the Pirate Code daily by her actions and strives to be the best student she can be. She is a joy to have in class."

Kindergarten - Viviana Aguirre

"Viviana is a perfect choice for Pirate of the Month because she is kind, helpful, encouraging, hardworking, and always follows the Pirate Code. She is eager to help out wherever she can, whether it be helping friends or offering to help me with things around the room. She also works very hard in the classroom to complete and produce her best work each and every day. I appreciate her and everything she does to be a good leader in my classroom. These are just a few of the reasons I think Viviana is exactly what a Cooper Pirate should be!"

Lubbock A-J Amazing Teacher of the Month

Each month, the Lub bock Avalanche-Journal and Ron Haley & Associates will recognize one teacher as the Amazing Teacher of the Month and they will be featured in print and on the publication’s website.

The Teacher of the Month will be eligible to win a national $5,000 monthly prize for themselves and $5,000 for their school!

Treasure Hunt Through the Arts

Lubbock-Cooper Fine Arts organizations invite you to the first ever Treasure Hunt Through the Arts! Each elementary campus, both middle schools, and LCHS will be showcasing more than 300 pieces of visual art, dance, theatre, vocal performance, and instrumental groups from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22 at the PAC!
