Welcome Back, Vikings!
Sign Up for Rooms
This will be the second year that Rooms, a newly established, two-way communications tool within the Apptegy platform, will be utilized within the district. As an early adopter of Rooms, we are looking forward to its continued integration within the Apptegy platform and are excited to offer it to our families as another way to communicate with our staff. This two-way communications tool is available to all MCS students and parents for a quick and easy way to communicate with teachers, principals, coaches and even me - the superintendent!
To access this feature, be sure to register by downloading the Miamisburg mobile app and selecting "Rooms" in the bottom right corner. Once you register, you will receive an email from edurooms.com to complete your sign-up.
Complete the Free and Reduced Meals Application
Offered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the application allows students to receive school meals at a free or reduced amount based on federal income eligibility guidelines. For 2023, ALL qualifying families will receive FREE meals.
We encourage all families, regardless of income, to complete an application to ensure that all who are eligible have access to free meal prices. The application MUST be submitted EVERY year in order to continue to be eligible even if your student has received these benefits in the past. To access the application, please visit payschoolscentral.com or the Miamisburg City Schools Nutrition Department website.
Welcome New Administrators
The middle school will take on a new administrative structure in order to better support the needs of our student body. MMS Principal, Kelly Thomas, will oversee all staff and building operations. The students will be supported by assistant principals Sommer Mastronardi, Eric Lenski, and lead teacher Stephanie Hager. Mrs. Hager will focus her work on supporting our sixth grade students, while Mr. Lenski will work with seventh grade and Mrs.Mastronardi with eighth grade students.
Miamisburg High School has also welcomed new assistant principal, Terra Spears. Spears has worked in public education for almost 25 years. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Principal of Westerville South High School, where she was responsible for teacher evaluations, discipline, PSAT, SAT and OST testing, as well as many other duties.
