December 15, 2023 was Hat Day at Steele School. A voluntary donation was collected by each homeroom. The top classrooms were:

Give Back Galesburg is a volunteer group supporting the OFS Kleine Pediatric Wellness Center

programming here in Galesburg and also engaging the community in the value of giving and

philanthropy. The Gold Out T-shirt night will be part of the boys' basketball game vs. Rock Island High School on Friday, January 19, 2024.

All money collected needs to be locked in safe at the end of each school day.

All other shirts can be picked up at GJSHS on Thursday, January 18th from 4-6 p.m. or at the

Gold-Out Game on January 19th, 2024.

Each week our bus drivers are now letting us know who is showing excellent behavior on the bus. We know how important it is to be safe on the bus and these Steele Stars are rocking it!

Our students go outside for recess as long as the real feel temperature is 20 degrees or warmer. To play in the snow, students must have snow pants, coat, gloves, hat, and snow boots. If you are a family in need, please reach out to your teacher or Mrs. Mowen, Outreach, to see what we have.

These students were nominated by their teachers for exemplifying our CHAMPS expectations throughout the building. They are shining bright as Steele Stars!
