Who's a good boy? Bo is! Our middle/high school therapy dog passed his first Canine Good Citizen program from the American Kennel Club. Way to go!

Blue gets in! With tonight's 35-0 win at Belleville, #PointerNation Football has secured a berth the WIAA Playoffs for the 10th straight year! Keep it going!

Let's hear it for our #PointerNation Head Boys Basketball Coach Dan Burreson who was honored Sunday at the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association banquet in Wisconsin Dells for achieving the 400 win mark! He currently stands at 417 wins entering the 2023-24 season.

Kindergarten performed their very own Actors' Studio with "Little Red Riding Hood!" Great job!

1st graders traveled to Yellowstone National Park and learned about how they can observe animals by their tracks and scat!

Shut the Box was the Game of the Week in our elementary library!

It's the start of Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) Week and a chance to recognize those who volunteer to serve their communities and children! This year's theme is "Launching Our Next Generation.” School board members serve part-time, though they have accepted a challenging role. School board members translate the values and priorities of their communities into the language of education. Their school board service is a manifestation of their gratitude to their community and hope for the next generation. Thank you!

Pack it Pink Night will be held on Tuesday, October 3 when our #PointerNation Volleyball team travels to Cuba City for a big SWAL showdown!

Have formal wear you no longer need? MPHS is having a student-led Formal Wear Drive! Donate today to help students who may want to attend dances such as Homecoming and Prom but need the proper attire. We are in search of: dresses, shoes, jewelry, formal pants, button down shirts, ties, small purses, and formal jackets. Plan on supporting the Odd Fellows' pork sandwich fundraiser for the Mineral Point Excellence in Education Endowment Fund and Pointer Pantry this Friday and Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm at Aspen Ridge Home & Garden!

Please plan to support our Mineral Point FFA Chapter Donation Auction at the fairgrounds Sunday, October 8! The auction will begin at 9:30 am. Many wonderful products have been donated by generous businesses and individuals. Thanks for your support!

On Tuesday, October 17 from 5-7pm, your middle/high school child has the opportunity to take place in the Mineral Point Science Night! They can explore a topic that they are interested in and create a project that shows what was learned from their research and/or experimentation! Students can get a packet from Mrs. McCoy (grades 9-12) or Mrs. Brown (grades 6-8) that can help walk them through steps to be successful with their project. This will have to be done outside of school time or during a study hall and materials are not provided from the school. If your child plans to do this project, our hope is that they will be able to attend the Science Night to show off their work and answer any questions they may get from attendees. If you or your child has any questions, please let Mrs. Brown or Mrs. McCoy know! We are looking forward to a fun Science Night!

Test your knowledge at the 5th Annual Trivia Night (hosted by Mineral Point Boys & Girls Basketball) Sunday, October 22 in the MPHS Gym from 6:30-8:30 pm! Cost is $10 per person with tables consisting of 4 to 8 people. Pre-registration is preferred (pay at door) -- email dan.burreson@mp.k12.wi.us or nick.jelle@mp.k12.wi.us to sign up. There will also be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, bucket raffles, heads or tails, and sit down bingo. Join the fun!

Did you know our retired #PointerNation staff meet occasionally for lunch? The latest group to gather got some new swag, just in time for Homecoming week! What a great crew!
