7-12 State Testing Schedule for the Week of April 10

State testing has started. These dates are set by the state. Please have your student in school. Make-ups are difficult to schedule. Thank you for our cooperation.

Change to the end of the Year

School was cancelled on April 5, 2023 due to weather conditions. The district was already out of days allowed to be forgiven by MDE. We need to make up this day and time to meet the state requirements of days and hours. The following is now the end of the year schedule.

Friday, June 2 - Full day of school

Monday, June 5 - release time will be 11:20 a.m. this will be the last day for students - report cards will be mailed home

Tuesday, June 6 - Professional Development day for staff - No students -

K-6 Student of the Week of April 10

Newberry Elementary School is happy to have Jayce Mattson as the student of the week. He is in Mrs. Vincent’s first grade class. Jayce can be counted on to be one of the first students to begin working on his spelling or reading assignments. If there is something his teacher or a student needs help with, Jayce is there on the spot. He is a person whose behavior and work habits serve as good examples to his peers. Keep up the incredible work, Jayce!

K-6 Wacky Wednesday Schedule

Every Wednesday will be a different wacky day. If your child would like to participate, they will need to pay $1 to their teacher. The funds raised will go directly to your child’s class for field trips or classroom needs.

The following is the April schedule:

April 19: COLLEGE/SCHOOL DAY—Who is your favorite team? Wear any clothing or hat that shows off your favorite college/school team.
April 26: TEACHER/STUDENT FLIP DAY — Dress like a teacher and you might see your teachers dress like you!

Grades 7-12 Tutoring/Homework space

Tuesdays and Wednesdays until May. Stop in to get homework done and help passing classes. If no students show up, teacher will be leaving at 3:30 p.m.
