April 14, 2021
It is hard to believe I am writing you the week before April vacation! As a community, we should be proud of all we have accomplished during this very different school year. I look forward to all of the special moments that we will share as we head into the homestretch before summer break!
Please note the following dates below:
April 15 thru 25: Vacation Week
April 26 and 27: Remote Learning
May 5: Early Release (dismissal at 11:20 am)
iPads will be going home today for our two remote learning days after vacation. As a reminder, you can still purchase insurance for your child's device.
I hope everyone has a fun, relaxing, and safe break. We look forward to seeing everyone back in-person on Wednesday the 28th!
Respectfully,
Margaret Pitts

Rapid Testing Following School Vacation
Following school vacation, the Biddeford and Dayton School Departments will provide rapid testing by appointment only for students and staff on the remote days prior to return to in-person instruction. The dates will be Monday, April 26th and Tuesday, April 27th (we will add Wednesday, April 28th if needed for BMS and BHS students only during their flex day).
Here are the specific details:
It will be a drive-thru event in which sign-ups are required in advance.
A signed consent form is needed for students and must be on file with the school or bring a completed form the day of the test. You can download the consent form here.
Parents will be texted with the results once the test is completed. If positive for COVID-19, a school nurse will follow up with a phone call for further instructions.
A maximum of 500 tests will be utilized so sign-up early.
Sign-ups should be scheduled by clicking here.
We Have a Mobile App!
Biddeford Schools is thrilled to announce our new app for mobile phones! You can choose which schools are relevant to your household and as your child moves to a different school, the format remains the same for ease of access (and don’t forget to follow the main district news). Stay up-to-date with access to real-time sports scores, the daily cafeteria menu, news from administrators, student stories, and even emergency notifications. You can download the app for free on both Google Play or the Apple App Store.
