Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Kara - Debut CD
Year 13 student has launched her debut CD available to purchase at @TraversFoundat1.
Year 10 Cookery
Year 10 students have enjoyed spending time in the kitchen this week, inspired by the visit form Navy chefs recently.
Year 13 - Art
Year 13 student Kayleigh has been working extremely hard on her A level Art coursework.

- Mr Williamson has nominated the following Media students, Year 11 students Rebecca, Emma and Taylor for good assessment and mock exam work, Year 10 students Morgan, Amy and Jack for excellent effort and contribution to lessons and Year 9 students Adrian, Brooke, Rebecca and Logan excellent work on photoshop.
- Mrs Brown has nominated the following English students, Year 11 Ewan for good progress in writing literature essays and Year 12 Stefania for excellent research homework on the French Revolution.
- Miss Connellan has nominated her Year 7 English students for wonderful creative writing inspired by Wilfred Owen's poetry.
- Mr Cox has nominated the students in 10C for excellent efforts in their cookery lesson.
- Mr Gourlay would like to say well done to Year 7 student Edvins for for a superb effort in his Small Basic coded artwork lesson and Year 11 student Nick for his excellent approach to revision for his upcoming Computer Science exams.
- The Maths department would like congratulate Year 9 student Sam for earning a Certificate of Merit in the latest round of national Maths challenges.
- Mr Horne has nominated Year 7 student Kai for an excellent and imaginative design of a probability based game in Maths.
- Miss McGrath would like to say well done to the Year 9 Biologists for fantastic work during the protein synthesis lesson. A very tricky concept picked up very well by all students. Also to all the year 11 Scientists for brilliant work during the core practical conference this week.
- Mrs Vaghadia has nominated Year 11 student Tamzin for excellent work in Sociology and Year 10 student Rohan for his continued contribution to class debates.
- Mr Godfrey has nominated Year 9 student Darci for her improved approach to Physics and Year 13 student Reece for his hard work in preparation of the recent A level mock exams.
- Mr Jackson has nominated Year 8 student Zofia for her excellent effort in Maths.

Year 11 Good Luck Messages
Staff have prepared their good luck wishes for Year 11 ahead of their GCSE examinations.
Year 11 - Well Being
Year 11 students have been attending our tutor time Health and Well Being workshops.
UK Mathematics Challenge
Well done to Year 9 student Sam who was awarded a Certificate of Merit in the latest round of National Maths Challenges.
Attendance Matters
Every single day a student is absent from school equates to a day lost of learning. At Corby Technical School we pride ourselves in maintaining excellent attendance. Our target is to achieve and maintain a whole school attendance of above 96.5%. We will be giving you weekly updates on our whole school attendance, the tutor group and house who achieved the highest attendance this week.
Whole School Attendance
Attendance this week is 92.71%, this is considerably below our target and we need to see this improve.
Best Tutor Group
Best tutor group are 10C with 99.4%, well done to Mr Cox and your students.
House Winner
House winners this week are C 95.35%. well done to Cayley and Coleman
