Spirit week starts next week! Monday’s theme is “Love is in the air”, Dress in Valentine’s Day colors and any other valentine’s day themed clothing! Classes will be earning Spirit Points and a winner will be announced at the end of the week. The winning grade level will win a grilled lunch by Dr. Alexander. Which class will come out on top?

The Sweetheart dance is Saturday, February 11th from 8:30-10:30 in the commons. The theme is Fly Southwest.

As a reminder, all freshmen took the Pre-ACT while sophomores and juniors took either the PSAT or a Practice ACT.

Deadline to register for a second semester course (Government, Computer Science A, Computer Principles, and 2D Art) March 1st.

No registrations of any kind are accepted after March 1st.

If a student missed the November deadline, the second AP registration window will open January 4th and close March 1st 2023. There will be a $40 late registration fee for students who missed the first registration window for yearlong AP courses. Check back here for the registration information to be active on January 1st.

AP US History

AP English Language and Composition score of 3 or higher can be used to place into Composition II for students who have not received College Now credit for Composition I. If you had your AP scores sent to JCCC, you must call Testing Services at 913-469-4439 to have a waiver entered, as these scores do not upload automatically.

If you did not have your AP score report sent to JCCC, go to College Now Placement Information. Click the Upload test scores button to upload a copy of your AP Score Report. JCCC Testing Services will enter a waiver that will allow you to enroll in English Composition II.

Important Reminder -
Be sure to complete all steps in the enrollment process. If you obtain a placement waiver, you still need to log in to MyJCCC, enroll in the course, and pay your tuition.

We have attached the College Now Enrollment Guide for High School Students to help you get started. Check out the College Now website with FAQs to answer all your questions.

Enrollment and Payment Deadlines-
Spring College Now enrollment deadline is Friday, Feb 10. Payment is due at the time of enrollment.

During TIPS 2 our Coffee Shop will be open at the concession stand window every Tuesday and Thursday. You can order hot coffee, iced coffee, hot chocolate, chai tea latte and chocolate chip cookies. Cash only, see you there!

We have our first Boys Open Gym dates scheduled!

This is a no-experience-needed, open-to-any BVSW guy, great-time. I will be giving some guidance to the open gym, but mostly a great opportunity for you guys to play volleyball. Attending these open gyms, by no means, requires you to be a part of the Boys Volleyball Club. Please invite friends even if they don't want to join the team in the spring.

Note, we will have team tryouts and prospective player/parent meeting the week of 3/6, but more information will follow.
