Registration for the 2021-2022 school year is under way! Packets have been mailed to all district families with directions on how to register through Skyward for next year.

• Early bird fee of $25 off (each child) ends June 10th
• Items can be returned by mail, blue drop box, or by appointment only.
• Payments can be made on epay (saltcreek48.org), check or cash (exact only no change)

If you are not returning to the District, please contact the office and let us know.

Preschool registration is open! If you have a child that is eligible for preschool, aged 3-5, please contact the office to set up a preschool screening and to start the registration progress.

If your child is missing his/her stylus or charger, there will be a fee to replace the item. Fees are due by June 4th. You will receive an email if your child is missing one of these items.

Report cards will be sent home with in person students on Friday, June 4th. Included will be MAP data and aimswebPlus data (for kindergarten-2nd grade). Our eLearner report cards will be distributed during supply drop off on the 4th. Please see more information from your child's teacher regarding drop off times.

District 48's Summer U is open for registration. Please see the flyer below for more information. In addition, Oakbrook Terrace Park District will be providing an extended day for families who need it. The flyer is also below!

Classroom teachers will be reaching out to you to let you know what materials need to be returned to school. Remote learners will drop off their Chromebooks and materials the last day of school. Stay tuned to your email for specific times. Please start looking at home for library books, classroom books, and other materials that have been sent home throughout the year!

The federal government announced that the Pfizer vaccination is now available for children ages 12-15 and their family members (age 12 and up). We are pleased to share that we have partnered with Lombard School District 44, School District 45, and the Lombard Park District to provide our families with immediate access to the vaccine and we are grateful for this partnership. Through the leadership of Mr. Paul Friedrichs, executive director of the Lombard Park District, the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic will be available on May 21, 2021 from 2pm to 8pm. The clinic will be held at the Madison Meadow Athletic Center in Lombard.

We are continuing our meal pick-up at Albright Middle School. Any District 48 family can pick up 5 days worth of meals (breakfast and lunch) at Albright Middle School at Door 2 on Tuesdays from 1:00-1:30 and 2:30-3:00.

Please make sure to call the office if your child is going to be absent from school whether in-person or virtually. In addition, please call the office at least 30 minutes before dismissal if your child's dismissal routine is changing. For example, if a child normally rides a bus, but needs to be picked up, please call the office at least 30 minutes before dismissal. If you do not call the office in that time frame, we cannot guarantee that your child will be taken off the bus in time.

Please take your child's temperature and certify that your child is not experiencing any COVID symptoms. The policy and procedure is the same if anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms, that your child stays home as well. If you have any questions about whether your child can attend school or not, please contact the health office.

EPI School Supply Kits

FTC has partnered with EPI to offer school supply kits. Everything will be sold online only. EPI is making final adjustments to our website. You will be notified with all of the details and how to order. Thank you for your patience.

Dairy Queen

Enjoy a final treat before the year ends! Order from Dairy Queen on St. Charles Rd. in Villa Park or from the location on Roosevelt Rd. in Lombard on Thursday, June 4th, and FTC will receive a portion of your order. Don't forget to buy Dilly Bars for later!

Please do not send your child to school if they are feeling any of the COVID19 symptoms. COVID symptoms include fever (100.4 or higher), new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of sense of taste or smell, nausea, fatigue from unknown cause, muscle or body aches. We are using extreme caution to make sure that all of our students and staff are safe while at school. Your support is critical! We ask that any student that is experiencing a symptom of COVID19 to stay home and report the absence to the office. Our nursing staff will call you about next steps.

In addition, if one of your children is experiencing a COVID19 symptom, all of your children need to stay home.

If someone in the household has tested positive for COVID-19 or is identified as a close contact to someone that has tested positive please call the office. The nurse will follow-up to gather the information required by the health department, discuss next steps, and answer any questions you may have.
