Kindergarten
Students will be able to explain the difference between a goal and a dream.
Extending the Learning at Home: Ask your student to answer the following questions:
-What are your goals and why did you set them?
-How do goals help us?
1st Grade
Students will be able to explain what it means to have a career in social media
Extending the Learning at Home: Ask your student to explain today's lesson to you. What is social media? What do careers in social media look like?
2nd Grade
Students will be able to define emotional regulation
Extending the Learning at Home: Ask your student explain how they can regulate their emotions. How can they react when they feel strong emotions?
3rd Grade
Students will learn the importance of asking questions.
Extending the Learning at Home: Ask your student to keep track of the number of questions they ask in one day. Afterwards, ask your student "What questions helped you the most?"
4th Grade
Students will be able to define flexible thinking and apply flexible thinking to their growth mindset
Extending the Learning at Home: Ask your student to identify one character train they have that demonstrates flexible thinking.
5th Grade
Students will be able to identify how they can take responsible risks
Extending the Learning at Home: Discuss the following question with your student:
-What are some responsible risks you can take at home or outside of school?

Local Postsecondary Training Option
Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology offers a short term training certificate and associates degree in welding. Lancaster CTC also offers a popular full time program for high school graduates.
