We have had a great last week of school. Students loved getting to share their Passion Projects with students and family. Fifth grade had a field trip to George Park, and Third Grade students went to War Eagle Cavern. They all had a great time. We held our end of year celebrations for parents in our SFLP program and our 5th Grade students. We had Field Day on Thursday for all students and that was so much fun! We ended the last of school with our Tiger Pride assembly to celebrate and honor students with birthdays, Eye of the Tiger awards, perfect attendance, Lexia Reading Superstars, character awards, and Tiger Turnout awards. Students will be coming home with their report card and their Spring MAP testing results for Math and Reading. Thank you for partnering with us this year to help our students reach their highest potential. Looking forward to our next school year. Our Open House is scheduled for August 10th from 4:00-5:30.

Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year is open. Registration is online for any new student in any grade and can be found at https://www.sdale.org/page/enroll. You can take a picture of your child’s birth certificate, social security card, proof of residency, physical exam, and immunizations and upload them into the program. If you have any questions or need assistance, please come by our office or call 479-750-8862.

Please park in the parking spots in front of the building and walk to the front door that leads into the office. Use the "Contactless Student Check-In" QR code located on the back of your car rider tag, on signs located by the front parking spots, or on the front door. Once you electronically check-in your student, please call the main office at 479-750-8862. The office will give you directions, then your child may enter the building through the office door. Your student will still need to pick up a tardy slip from the ladies in the office.

Tyson has 6 "Contactless Student Check-Out" parking spots located in the front of the building. The QR codes will also be posted on the back of car tags and on the front door of our building. Use this QR code to electronically check-out your student and then follow the instructions, which include calling the office at 479-750-8862 and then waiting 5 minutes before you meet your child at the front office door. Make sure to bring your ID to the door with you. If you are unable to use the QR code, you may call the office for assistance.

Here is a list of our learner qualities. We have directly taught each one, and we will continue to integrate these throughout our school year. Below the learner qualities is a copy of the Learning Pit which helps our students develop perseverance. Please ask your students to tell you about how they are using their learner qualities and the learning pit.
