Better Together in 3rd Grade
Silverdale Elementary Leaders
October 19 - October 23
Welcome to Wave 10!
We have been waiting for this week for a long time! We are so excited to have full classes, in-person!
While it won't be completely "normal", we are happy to be returning to full rosters, regular Encore schedules, and less remote learning. Students will continue to be screened upon arrival at SDE. We will do our best to stay as socially distanced as possible while in the classrooms, even though we have filled our spaces with desks again. Facemasks will still be worn at all times. (Breaks will be given for drinks and fresh air.) Small groups are limited to 3 students and must be under 15 minutes. We will continue eating lunch in the classrooms and will continue to wipe down surfaces several times a day. PE classes will return to the Gym, while other Encores will come to our classroom for the time being.
Thank you to all of the 3rd grade grown-ups who worked so hard last week to help their students complete any missing remote work and get it turned in early! We appreciate your flexibility and quick response when the PowerSchool locking date changed.
** If you have not paid the $36 school fees yet, please pay on-line, as soon as possible! If you need a fee waiver form, just ask your child's teacher!
During Wave 9 we learned about inferencing , creative Narrative Writing, Multiplication and Division Facts, and Human Body - Bones.
Thank you all again for all of your support during this crazy time of learning in a new way. We are looking forward to a return to "normal"!
~ Miss Hastings, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Wright, and Ms. Clarke
