Lisa Guernsey visited the ZIS school in Zurich, Switzerland. This school has given out over 600 iPads to the students within their school. Each student gets their own, while the kindergarten and preschool were given a set to use during their small group lessons. The teachers within this school did not focus their time on the game apps that can be placed on an IPads, but used them for how they can enhance for student learning. They used the iPads for their cameras, audio recorders, and as multimedia notebooks and digital portfolios.

Before the semester begins, the teachers and administrators collaborate what apps and features would be best to use during each of their lessons. The teachers test out each app and learn how to navigate them. Each iPad that is given to a student, have the same apps on it. This is beneficial in keeping your students on task and for students with motor challenges.
