News & Upcoming Events
Good Morning OES families!
Last week was a vey busy week at OES!
The 7th & 8th graders participated in a fantastic field trip to Lyndon State College (see photos below).
We also had our first school wide PBIS celebration! The entire school went to the River of Life Corn Maze (see photos below).
It was wonderful to see so many of you at conferences. I enjoyed listening to students talk about their goals, and explain various aspects of their learning to family members. If you were not able to attend we will be reaching out to reschedule.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Career Connections & STEM Fair - 7th & 8th Grade - October 4, 2023
On Wednesday our 7th & 8th graders joined more than 400 other middle school students to attend a presentation by Careers CLiC and the Vermont Department of Labor at Lyndon State College. This presentation shared information focusing on the work force in Vermont and the most in demand jobs of the future. Students then spent an hour in a workshop of their choosing. After lunch, we toured the STEM Fair where students were able to participate in a variety of hands on activities and ask business owners and organizations questions. Prior to attending this event, students completed interest surveys at school and identified high school classes that would be beneficial for them to take in order to enter specific fields. This event was sponsored by VSAC. 7th & 8th graders will continue working with VSAC this year.
