Partnership with Springdale Library
EVERY Student Now Has Free Access to Library Resources
Students Now Have Free Access to Library Resources with their STUDENT ID #
Every Springdale Public School student now has free digital access to the Springdale Public Library.
The new program, which rolled out mid-September, enables every student from kindergarten through high school, to access digital content through the Library.
Every student will be able to log into SPL digital resources with his or her student identification.
Students can then access several resources, tapping into live homework help, research tools, test preparation, ebooks and audiobooks, films, music, and more.
Springdale Public Library staff members have worked with Springdale Public School officials to facilitate the large-scale project that will benefit students in and outside of the classroom. Digital content can be accessed by phone, tablet, computer or iPad.
Students who wish to check out physical materials will need to bring in a parent or guardian to the Library to sign for a standard borrowing card that enables him or her to do so.
The new program will open up all kinds of learning opportunities for students, creating a solid foundation on which students can build.
“We are thrilled the SPL is providing access to digital materials by providing a free digital library card for all our students of SPS,” said Springdale Public School Superintendent Dr. Jared Cleveland. “SPL remains an integral partner in improving literacy achievement and educating our Springdale Family of students. Thank you SPL!”
Springdale Public Library Director Marcia Ransom said staff is pleased to establish this opportunity for the Springdale student population.
“Thanks to today’s technology, students can have all types of educational resources at their fingertips for engaging in successful strategies, taking the initiative for research and achieving academic excellence,” she said.
