Kindergarten:

This is a very busy week for Kindergarten.

• Monday is our letter naming competition.
• All week students dress in special holiday attire Wednesday Polar Express PJ and All sing. Friday early release and classroom parties
• No homework this week. Have a Happy and Blessed Christmas Season

First Grade:

• The first grade sight word competition is December 14th.-- Be sure your child is still practicing those words

• Take-home books need to be read each night.

Second Grade:

• Field trip to see the movie “Encanto”- December 15, 2021
• Second grade Christmas parties are scheduled for Thursday, December 16, 2021. You will receive more information from classroom teachers.
• We will have our CVC word competition on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Continue to practice reading words with short vowel sounds.

Music: A special thanks to “Tiger Troupe” students, parents, and families for a successful fall! Your attendance at practices and programs was appreciated! Tiger Troupe practices have ended for the school year. Video excerpts will be posted of the Christmas performance! Check out the Music Room website next week.

“All-Sing” will be held on Wednesday afternoon for each grade level starting at 12:

December 15: Second Grade Field Trip

December: 13-17: WPS Christmas Spirit Week

December 17: Early Release

December 20-Jan 3: Christmas Break

January 4: Students return to school

Please remember if your child has to go home due to illness, that they will still need to bring in either a doctor’s note, or a negative COVID screening. They must be fever free, and no nausea or vomiting for 24 hours before returning to school. It is going to be an exciting week. Stay well and prevent the spread of germs!

On Wednesday our Kindergarten through Second Grade students will participate in our annual Christmas "ALL" Sing.

If your child is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please them at home and contact the school as soon as possible.

• Fever or chills

• Cough

• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

• Fatigue

• Muscle or body aches

• Headache

• New loss of taste or smell

• Sore throat

• Congestion or runny nose

• Nausea or vomiting

• Diarrhea
