Director of Human Resources and Administrative Operations
The Three Rivers Board of Education is excited to announce that Mr. Aaron Marshall has been board-approved to serve as the Director of Human Resources and Administrative Operations for the Three Rivers Local School District, effective August 1, 2023. Superintendent, Dr. Mark Ault made the recommendation after conducting a search that included having interview teams meet and screen twelve applicants from a pool of twenty-six qualified educators throughout Southwest and Central Ohio. Mr. Marshall is coming to Three Rivers from Cincinnati La Salle High School where he has served as the Chief Executive Officer/Principal for the last 7 years. Prior to that role, he served as the Principal of Wyoming High School from 2008 to 2016 with additional administrative and teaching positions at Fairfield High School and Sycamore Junior High School. Aaron has been a successful educator for the last 30 years and has demonstrated success in building positive relationships with all school community members.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Three Rivers District,” states Marshall, “I look forward to working with Dr. Ault and the outstanding Yellowjacket team as we build upon the success of the school community.” A native of northeast Ohio, Mr. Marshall began his career in education in 1993 as a teacher and coach at Wyoming Middle School. During his recent tenure at La Salle, Mr. Marshall worked collaboratively with the Board to establish a vision and measurable goals across all operative areas of the school including academic, personnel, finance, facilities, athletics, marketing, and public relations. Marshall earned his undergraduate degree in elementary education from Adrian College in Michigan and a master of education degree in educational leadership from the University of Cincinnati. He currently serves on several community outreach and non-profit organizations.
Aaron will be replacing Tom Olson who has served the District for the last three years in a consultant role through the Hamilton County Educational Service Center.
THREE RIVERS WELCOMES NEW ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
Three Rivers Local School District welcomes Zach Stakely as the Taylor Athletic Director. Mr. Stakely was board approved on June 8, 2023. Superintendent, Dr. Mark Ault made the recommendation to the board of education after conducting a thorough interview process. Sixteen applicants from a pool of over forty qualified individuals were screened. Out of those applicants, five were interviewed by a committee consisting of coaches, administrators, board members, and community members Mr. Stakely is coming to Three Rivers from St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Schools where he has served as the Athletic Director since 2019. Prior to that role, he served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Purcell Marian High School and Clark Montessori High School. Zach is currently the President of the Miami Valley Conference and is a Sports Management Advisory Board Member. He and his wife have worked in the sports industry since graduating from Wilmington College in 2009.
When asked about his new role at Three Rivers, Mr. Stakely replied, “I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Board of Education, Dr. Ault, Principal Smiley, and Principal Simms for selecting me to serve as the Athletic Director at Three Rivers School District. The opportunity to join a forward-thinking school district that places great emphasis on academic and extracurricular excellence, backed by strong community support, creates a great fit. Most importantly, I look forward to building meaningful connections with the students, coaches, and staff at Taylor, and immersing myself in the Yellowjacket community.”
Mr. Stakely’s professional expertise includes successful management of events, oversight of department budgets, logistics and scheduling, organization of uniform contracts and purchases, sponsorships, fundraising, and ticket operations. He has recently earned his Certified Athletic Administrator designation through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrator Association. Additionally, he has earned the Southwest Ohio Athletic Director Association Horizon Award and was nominated for the Southwest Ohio Athletic Director Associations Athletic Director of the Year.
Dr. Ault will formally introduce Zach Stakely and Aaron Marshall, Director of Human Resources and Administrative Operations, to the Three Rivers School Community in the TREC Auditorium on August 14, 2023, beginning at 7:00 pm. This event is open to the Three Rivers Community.
