Message from the Principals
Our students and community as a whole enjoyed our first Global Play Day this past week. Students had time for free play without the use of screens, structured games, or adult direction. The idea is to let children explore their creativity, problem-solving skills, and social interactions in an unstructured and spontaneous environment. We can learn things in many ways! Enjoy a snapshot of just some of the photos below from this exciting day!
For planning purposes we would like to share the Spring MCAS dates. The English Language Arts assessment will be administered to 3rd and 4th graders the week of April 8th and the Math assessment will be given the week of May 13th. Below are the specific days.
- Grade 4 - ELA MCAS - April 8th and 9th
- Grade 3 - ELA MCAS - April 10th and 11th
- Grade 3 - MATH MCAS - May 13th and 14th
- Grade 4 - MATH MCAS - May 15th and 16th
Have a wonderful weekend!
Respectfully,
Terri and Jayson

Nurses Corner
Dear South Row Families,
I have seen an increased rate of strep throat at South Row. It does not appear to be specific to a classroom or grade level. Strep can present in different ways. Sometimes small children complain of persistent abdominal pain or will have nausea and vomiting. Some children will present with a rash only or rash and fever.
We are also still seeing some GI illnesses. If your student has had fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, they must be 24 hours symptom free without medication before they can return to school. If your child has persistent symptoms for greater than 1 week and I have not spoken with you, please reach out to me.
Lastly, if your student tests positive for Covid, please reach out to me. The student must stay home from school for 5 days. Day 0 is the first day of symptoms or the day of the positive test if the student does not have symptoms. The student returns to school on day 6.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
Warmly,
Nurse V.
