Meet Our Instrumental Music Substitute, Mrs. Mabrey!
Dear Mogadore Music Parents,
My name is Kaitlin Mabrey and I am excited to be filling in for Mrs. Bonitz as a long-term substitute for the band program while she is away on maternity leave. In May of 2020, I graduated from Kent State University with my degree in music education and I play the saxophone. I am very passionate about teaching and performing music and I have been enjoying getting to share this with each of the ensembles throughout my day.
I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with your child as we rehearse together throughout these upcoming months and present to you our virtual concert in December! I cannot wait to meet you!
Thank you,
Mrs. Kaitlin Mabrey

O.H. Somers General Music News
Meet our General Music Substitute, Mr. Modney!
Dear Mogadore Wildcats,
It is so nice to meet most, if not all, of you during my first weeks of being here at O.H. Somers Elementary School. My name is Mr. Nicholas Modney and I am the long-term substitute for music moving forward. I have always loved and been involved with music since I was I preschool. I have always thought that music is one of the most important subjects in school, both from a learning and social position.
I have been involved with music since I was about 4 years old! I sang, I played viola, and I tried to learn everything there was about music. I went to college at The Boston Conservatory where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance, and then I went to the University of Akron where I earned a Masters Degree in Music Education. While in college, I learned how to teach both general music and choir.
I currently live in North Canton with my cat, Captain. When I am not teaching, I like to travel, work on cars, go on walks, and spend time with my friends and family. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email me at mo_ModneyNicholas@mogadore.net.
I look forward to having a great time in music class!
Sincerely,
Mr. Nicholas Modney
