A Note from Dr. Neubeck
Where has the time gone? This Thursday marks the end of 1st quarter and it seems like school is flying by. The Fall sports seasons are wrapping up and winter sports are just around the corner. This coming Friday and the following Monday are days off for our students. Please take the time to talk to your students and praise them for their hard work, even if they do not have the best of grades. Help them to learn how they learn best and how to set goals for the next quarter. These are important life lessons that should not only be taught in schools.
Also, with a four day weekend, please find the time to just connect with your family and let kids be kids. We need to stop our busy lives sometimes and just be with them. You don't have to go out of town either. We just received 5000 movie tickets from CMX Theaters and your student should have received one. Take them to a movie and just be there for them.
Our students and staff are doing an awesome job and working very hard each and every day. I hope the first quarter has gone well for your student and family. Take care and let's keep working together to make our schools great for kids and families.
It's Great To Be A Byron Bear!

CHRISTMAS ANONYMOUS/ADOPT A FAMILY
We are so excited that we will once again be running our Byron School Christmas Anonymous Program. The holidays can be a financial struggle for many families so in the spirit of the sharing season we facilitate families adopting other families to help provide them with gifts for their children at the holidays. The entire operation is kept anonymous and at year number 12, we have the program pretty streamlined and efficient.
If you have financial need and would like to have your family adopted this holiday season, please contact christine.jostock@byron.k12.mn.us. We will send you a needs/wants list in mid-October for you to fill out and return.
If you or a group of people would like to Adopt a family this holiday season, please send Christine Jostock an email at the above address. We will assign you a family by number along with a shopping list of items to choose from.
We appreciate being in a community that takes care of each other. Proud to be a Bear!

The construction plans continues to move forward and it will be great to watch our facilities transform over the next 18 months. Please check out our webcam at https://app.oxblue.com/open/knutson/byronhsathletics and watch the time lapse pictures. We are so appreciative of the community's support.
