Welcome back from our Thanksgiving break! I hope everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends.

I would like to thank all of our teachers, students, and families for attending our Parent/Teacher conferences last week. Our conferences allow our teachers to inform you about your child's growth at school. This two way communication allows us to better support your child and it helps create a stronger bond between the school and your family.

November, 27th is the first day of our second trimester. Students will have a new RASL class, so make sure they check their schedules. Let's have a great start to this trimester!

Michigan winter is now upon us! Please make sure that your child is dressing for the weather. Students will need a winter coat to go outside during recess if the temperature is 32 degrees or lower. We do have coats, boots, gloves, and hats if your child needs winter clothes. Please let myself, Mrs. Collins, Mrs. Rhoda, or the office know if we can assist in getting winter clothes for your child.

Wednesday November 29th will be our first Student of the Term celebration. Students of the Term and their families have been invited to join us for a continental breakfast and ceremony in our cafeteria from 8:00 am to 8:45 am. If your child earned Student of the Term and if you haven't done so already, please let us know if you and your family will be able to attend.

As always, I would like to thank our staff, students, families, and community for helping DKMS be a great place for teaching and learning!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Delton Ski Club, a fantastic opportunity for individuals aged 7 and up, including adults, to come together for a winter filled with fun and adventure!

Details:

• Open to ages 7 and up, including adults.
• Family-friendly activities.
• We will host at least 5 events at Bittersweet for Delton Families. (Dates TBD)

Delton Kellogg Schools appreciates your support for our athletic teams. To insure everyone enjoys these events, we ask that you do not bring outside equipment to the games. This includes footballs, soccer balls, mitts etc. Students are asked to be seated in the bleachers with their friends and family.

Delton Kellogg Middle School is proud to offer resources to our students that need help with assignments. One of our dedicated teachers is available to help with questions and provide guidance on available resources. Tuesday's, Mrs. Tyner is available to assist students and Thursdays, Mrs. Estep helps students. Students can catch up on past due assignments or utilize this time to build skills for successful study habits.

Beginning this year, KickStart is asking that any deposits of $20 or more be clearly marked by a parent or guardian expressly stating it is for the KickStart Program. We want to ensure that the money being sent with your children is designated for their account and not for another school activity.
