The Board of Education received the results of the 2022 Engagement Survey last night. Ninety-six percent of parents said the quality of education in Millard is excellent or good. Ninety percent of parents said the district provides a world-class education, and ninety-two percent reported that the district is moving in a positive direction toward its mission. Ninety percent of parents gave the district an A or a B, and ninety-two percent gave their school an A or a B.

The annual MPS Foundation Staff Campaign garnered a record forty-six percent participation rate. Millard staff gave a total of $61,424. All of the money raised goes directly back to the district.

Each year by policy, Millard supports two district-wide fundraisers. The first is the MPS Foundation Staff Campaign and the second is the United Way. This year $48,459 was raised for the United Way.

Congratulations to our staff for these amazing accomplishments:

• Millard West High School Baseball Coach Steve Frey and Millard South Activities Unified Sports, Track and Field Coach David Stalling on being named the 2021-22 NFHS NSAA State Coaches of the Year!
• Central Middle School Counselor Julie Williams was named the Nebraska Middle School Counselor of the Year by the Nebraska School Counselor Association.
  
• Russell Middle School Counselor Stefanie Lorenzen was named as a finalist for the Nebraska Middle School Counselor of the Year by the Nebraska School Counselor Association.
