INTEGRITY IS LIVING A SET OF VALUES WHICH INCLUDES HONESTY, RESPECT FOR OTHERS AND A SENSE OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.
“Integrity is about honesty, respect for others, and personal responsibility.” Kylene Edwards, Davenport High School Class of 2019 and PACE guest columnist for June 2019.
“A person’s integrity is at the core of who they are, and everyone should have the opportunity to develop it and feel confident about it.” Mahala Christensen, West Valley High School PACE Award Honoree 2018 and PACE guest columnist June 2018.
“However we choose to have it, our integrity shows the world the truth. How will you choose to walk with integrity?” Taryn Baxter, East Valley High School Class of 2019 and PACE guest columnist June 2019
CREATE A CHARACTER MOMENT WITH YOUR FAMILY
TALK – use this prompt to start a conversation with your family about this month’s character trait, which is aligned with your child’s school PACE character education program.
Do you do the right thing when no one else is looking?
CREATE A CHARACTER MOMENT WITH YOUR FAMILY
DO AN ACTIVITY TOGETHER ABOUT THIS MONTH’S TRAIT, WHICH IS ALIGNED WITH YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL PACE CHARACTER EDUCATION PROGRAM.
DO – explore this month’s character trait through this engagement activity
Use your dinner time conversation to discuss some scenarios your children may face and how they can respond to them with integrity. Constructing such scenarios will enable your child understand that they should do the correct thing even though it may not be the popular choice. Some possible questions for discussion are listed below:
• “What would you do if you say one of your friends stealing a candy bar at the store?”
• “What would you do if you found any answer sheet to an upcoming test?’
• “How would you respond if you witnessed bulling at school or online?”
Food Drive Begins Tuesday, May 30th thru Tuesday, June 6th!
