Yearbooks are on sale! The yearbook is a great way to remember the 2022 - 2023 school year. The cost is $20 and they can be purchased from the website here using the code 2461423.

Little Leo’s Club will not be meeting for the next few weeks because Mrs. Mills will be attending Nature’s Classroom and then the following week is Spring Break. Our next Little Leo’s meeting is April 25, 2023 WB Clean Up Day to celebrate Earth Day. This requires a permission slip because we will be going around the school grounds and to War Memorial park to clean up. All Little Leo’s will need to return their permission slips before Spring break. Any parents who would like to chaperone must have a CORI form on file and may volunteer on our permission slip. Any Little Leo’s who did not get a permission slip or need another one, should see Mrs. Mills or print one from this link. Thank you!

ATTENTION, 6th Grade Parents; The State of Massachusetts requires a current physical(within 13 months) with up to date immunizations, prior to entry into seventh grade. If your child has recently had a physical exam, please send in a copy to me so I can enter it into our computer system and place it in their medical file, that will be going over to the high school in June. Please remember that if your child plans on playing a fall sport their current physical needs to be on record prior to August tryouts.

When does my child need a doctor’s excuse?

Any injury that prohibits a student from functioning normally in the school setting must be medically addressed.

• If your child has an injured ankle and can’t walk, injured shoulder and can’t move it, etc. they must be seen by their doctor to rule out a fracture or injury that could be aggravated by school.

• If they hit their head and are having headaches, or dizzy spells, they should be seen by the doctor to rule out a concussion, etc.

• If your child is assigned an air cast boot, crutches, scooter or a wheelchair, they must have a note from the doctor stating it is ok to be in school with them.

• If your child reports to the health office and appears injured, you will be asked to pick them up and have them evaluated by a doctor. A note from the physician will be required in order for your child to return to school.

• For all injuries, a medical note is required to excuse your child from physical education/recess. A note from the same physician is required to return your child to gym/sports/recess activities.

• A doctor’s note is required for admittance to school after 5 consecutive absences

Attention families of rising first graders through sixth graders: our 6th annual STEAM Camp is accepting enrollment for two glorious weeks of learning, adventure, and fun! Join us for art, science, team challenges, and outdoor games! Our weeks are Monday to Thursday, July 10th-13th July 24th-27th, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the W.B. Middle-Senior High School!
