The Wayne-Westland Wrap Up - April 18, 2024
Greetings Wayne-Westland Families,
With less than two months left in the school year, our students are still learning, growing, and thriving. As our high school seniors prepare to conclude their K-12 experience with cherished traditions and celebrations, we look forward to welcoming a new group of Young 5s and kindergarten students next fall. Spring marks a significant and memorable time in our school district.
To keep up with upcoming events and activities at your child's school and in the district, visit our website and follow us on social media.
We appreciate your ongoing support and partnership in our students' education.
Sincerely,

Detroit Lions & UDIM Launch Healthy Fueling Station at John Glenn High School
John Glenn High School celebrated the grand opening of a brand new fueling station. This initiative is a collaboration between the school, the Detroit Lions, and the United Dairy Industry of Michigan (UDIM). Made possible by the generosity of a Detroit Lions Hometown Grant and matching funds from UDIM, this partnership underscores the importance of nutrition in enhancing student health and performance.
The fueling station, located in the school's weight room, gives students easy access to nutrient-rich foods, emphasizing dairy products to bolster their health, especially after activities. Chocolate milk is a highlight of the offerings, recognized as an optimal choice for replenishing nutrients after rigorous practice sessions or games. The fueling station also offers various healthy, grab-and-go options, such as granola bars and fresh fruit.
