Inspire, Engage, Empower
Vision: Inspiring students to be life-long learners and positive, contributing members of their community.
Mission: INSPIRING excellence by providing the foundation where students collaborate, think critically, and problem solve through ENGAGING opportunities that EMPOWER them to pursue their passions and life-long success
At East Noble, we recognize and celebrate the various needs of our students, understanding that everyone comes to us with unique backgrounds and cultural values. It is our commitment to work collaboratively with parents to ensure that our curriculum materials are not only aligned with the Indiana State Standards but also cater to the interests and needs of all students.
While many of our curriculum materials have been successfully integrated into our programs for many years without concern, we acknowledge that what resonates with one group of students may not necessarily be the best fit for your child. Therefore, we are dedicated to fostering an environment where parents feel empowered to voice their concerns and work alongside us to find alternative options that better suit their child's learning journey.
Firstly, we urge you to reach out to your child's teacher or the school principal to express your concerns, as other options are available. Direct and open communication with teachers and administrators is key in resolving any issues regarding the curriculum. By sharing your feedback, we can work together to find suitable solutions that better cater to your child's needs.
Additionally, we want to empower you to take an active role in your child's education. Before a new class begins, feel free to request a syllabus from the teacher. This will allow you to review the course materials in advance and identify any areas of concern. You can also involve your child in this process by advising them to hold off on collecting materials until you've had the chance to review them.
At East Noble, we strongly believe in the partnership between parents and educators. You have every right to collaborate with teachers in ensuring that the materials provided are appropriate for your child's learning journey. Your involvement is not only welcomed but encouraged.
Together, let's work towards creating an educational environment where every child can thrive and reach their optimum potential. Your feedback and active participation are invaluable in shaping the educational experience for your child and others.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to your child's education.

Wayne Center Celebrates House Day With a Talent Show!
It was an exciting day this past Thursday at Wayne Center Elementary School as they held their House Day! The event began by placing new students, as well as our new SRO Officer Kline, into one of the four colored houses, similar to the Harry Potter book series houses. Afterwards, they hosted an exciting Talent Show! Congratulations to all the students who participated, you put on a fantastic performance showcasing all your amazing talents! With baseball season coming up, four staff members from each house had to also show off their best food vendor voice. Going up and down the bleachers yelling, "hot dogs" in a fun, and creative way. Also, congratulations to the students of the month who were recognized for going above and beyond this past month in exemplifying what it means to be a Wayne Center Tiger and use R.O.A.R on a daily basis. ROAR meaning Respect, Openly honest, Always caring & safe, and Responsible.
Avilla has Fun at Their Panther Pride Celebration!
This past Thursday, Avilla Elementary School had their Panther Pride Celebration! A student from each class was recognized and celebrated for their act of being kind and for going above and beyond! At the end of their celebration, students participated in some early spring cleaning in the gym. Apparently, someone left some potatoes out and forgot to clean them up! Students were placed into teams to sweep them up from one side of the gym to the other. It was a great time for the students to come together, cheer each other on, and have a great time!

All their hard work, time and dedication during those long practice nights and early mornings are truly inspiring. We wish you well as you near your last competitions and have the chance to head to the State competition!
A Great Turnout to the 2024 East Noble Transportation Chili Cook-Off!
Delicious smells came from inside the East Noble Transportation building this past Wednesday as they hosted the 2024 East Noble Transportation Chili Cook-Off! Ten delicious chilis were served and on display for many guest judges to vote and select the top tastiest chili recipes. Two first place winners (the judges' choice and people's choice) would receive some beautiful aprons symbolizing their victory! It was a great turnout of people across the district including some of the Kendallville Fire Department, Kendallville Police Department, School Board, Central Office, Transportation staff, and the Mayor of Kendallville. It was a chilly day for this event, and it certainly turned out to be the perfect day for a nice bowl of chili. Thank you to all guest judges and chili chefs that participated in this day.

Ryan Starkel - Physical Education Teacher - East Noble High School
A little bit about Ryan Starkel
I am originally from Kansas (Go Jayhawks and Chiefs) and moved to Indiana to go to school at Bethel College where I majored in Education and ran cross country and track. I live in Huntertown with my amazing and supportive wife Amber and two boys Miles (6) and Mason (4). We spend a lot of time playing sports, spending time outside, playing Super Mario, building things with Legos and wrestling until they wear me down. We like to travel to National and State Parks for camping trips and go to the coast for some beach time!
I have been at East Noble since 2012 when I started at Wayne Center Elementary. Those first two years were a lot of fun and a lot of learning and support from Ryan Pepple and Lindsay Deming. I later moved onto the middle school thanks to the opportunities I was given by Andy Deming & Bill Cain. I couldn’t have gotten through those first few years without legends like Josh Treesh and Cliff Hannon. I now have one trimester left in my third year at the high school. I am lucky to work with great people like Cody Wait, Katie Probst and Luke Amstutz who have made me feel welcome and supported me in many ways here. Although I do miss the kindergarteners screaming in excitement to simply run around the gym, I really enjoy the high school environment we have in the Physical Education department. I have also been coaching track at the high school since 2013 as an assistant and am starting my first year as the head coach of the boys team, which I am very excited for. I have also been coaching cross country ever since my second year in the district under the great leadership of Mark Liepe. I love East Noble and the community and look forward to the future here!
