Teacher Recognition!
Blanco ISD participates in the Teacher Incentive Allotment program. This program was established by the state a few years ago to reward teachers for helping students achieve academic growth and for their teacher evaluation (T-TESS) scores. A team of teachers and administrators worked together to come up with the plan which was then submitted to the state for approval.
Based on their degree of student growth and T-TESS scores, teachers in certain subject areas can be designated as recognized, exemplary, or a master teacher. Each designation includes a monetary bonus paid to the teacher from the state through BISD which they receive for 5 years.
In 2023 - BHS teachers Jane Karnes (RLA) and Jennifer Seales (Math) both earned recognized designations.
This year Stefanie Roemer (Math) earned an exemplary designation while Jane Karnes (RLA) moved from recognized to master teacher designation.
We are very happy for our teachers to earn these designations and look forward to adding new names to the list next year.
