We hope this finds you doing well. We wanted to take a moment to communicate our upcoming state testing schedule.

As you may already be aware, our standardized testing includes the PSAT Suite of tests for 9th, 10th and 11th graders with the addition of CMAS Science for 11th graders only. We believe the PSAT suite gives us a trajectory and preparation track for our students and teachers ultimately preparing students for the SAT Junior year.

Each year we have the opportunity to meet many new families and to speak with families who have chosen their current home due to our school. Many families have open-enrolled to our school due to a strong reputation in academics, activities, and athletics. A large part of our reputation and placement as a top-ten school is due to our previous and current SAT test scores. We are certain that our students are proud to be part of this tradition of excellence. Therefore, we ask for your support of your student’s participation in the PSAT & SAT assessments. Please help us continue to encourage them to outperform their peers in neighboring schools and districts.

We do understand that families may choose not to take these assessments for a variety of reasons. If you do not want your child to take these assessments please complete this request through the parent portal. We ask you to complete this by April 5th to allow for our team to plan accordingly. Here is a link that will walk you through the process.

The RC Boys Basketball Program is again sponsoring the RC Gift Card Delivery Service for the upcoming Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. This is not a fundraiser, but offered as a way to give back and show support for our school. This is a great opportunity to recognize our amazing teachers, administrators and staff members here at Rock Canyon High School and thank them for all of the hard work and dedication they have put in throughout the year. Your positive feedback and support is always welcome and very meaningful to our team members.

Our goal is to provide families with a convenient way to donate money toward gift cards for RC teachers and staff members along with an optional personalized message. The recipients then choose exactly what gift cards they would like to receive with the contributions made to them.

The RC Gift Card Delivery Service website is open from now until Thursday, April 18th to accept your donations. Customized gift card packages will be delivered to recipients during the week of May 6th for Teacher Appreciation Week.

AP Testing is coming up in May. We are preparing to test around 900 students and administer around 2000 exams. Here is the link to the testing schedule.

We are in need of parent volunteers to help us with check in for these exams. Here is the sign up to help with check in. Thank you for your help and support with all this.

This is an ACC celebration to honor graduating seniors who completed at least 9+ CE credits. ACC will recognize top students, handout pins and cords, and provide information on next steps!
