INCREDIBLES FAMILY MATH NIGHT

Incredibles families were invited to spend an evening hour on March 28th seeing what their children are doing in their math classes. Aside from their standard math instruction, Incredibles students have math menu time where they have some choice about the math learning experiences they receive. The Incredibles teaching staff set up four rooms for families and their students to rotate through. Each room introduced different aspects of their student's math menus. Math night, with its engaging activities, snacks and free child care was well received.

SOLAR ECLIPSE PRESENTATIONS IN THE LIBRARY

Students in the 5th and 6th grades on Team Triumph did some reading and research about the eclipse during their library time and used trusted sources to solidify their understanding. After knowledge was gained students chose the type of presentation they wanted to give to a younger audience including a slides presentation, skit, and more. They chose which grades they would work with from PreK through 3rd grade and then organized a thoughtful presentation to teach their target audience. Students also gathered fun activities to end their presentation with to engage all learners. It was a great experience for our older students to use their knowledge to inform others and the younger students truly enjoyed themselves.

The photographs linked below are of Evelyn Leduc and Ada Booth who used SlidesGo to teach the Imagination 2nd graders about the upcoming solar eclipse. They did a great job.
