Rob Holla Live
Thank You to Rob Holla for shedding light on the dangers of vaping and harmful chemicals to our students! His message was clear: don't follow the crowd, choose yourself and shape your future wisely. Drawing from past ads, he showed how similar lies persist today. Rob's assembly was both informative and captivating. Hoping all SHS students left with valuable insights.https://www.robbholla.com
Summer and Running Start
Senate Bill 5670 expanded Running Start to allow current 10th and 11th graders to take up to 10 credits over the summer.
The However, 10-free credits earned over the summer (online or in person) is an opportunity for students to:
- Fill in possible credit gaps needed for graduation
- Prime the pump for college – give them a taste to see if Running Start / college after HS is right for them
- Shave off some of the exorbitant costs off of their college education (free tuition).
Though tuition is free – there are costs to Running Start (fees, books, transportation…). Students on Free and Reduced Lunch are eligible for a Fee Waiver and possibly the Text Resource Program (depending on the school).
