Jarrell ISD Monday Memo
March 25, 2024
Cougars,
We're proud to introduce you to the "Jarrell ISD" app. The mobile app is a centralized platform for students, parents, teachers, and the community to stay connected and informed with real-time announcements and important notifications. It also streamlines communication and builds a collaborative learning environment. Parents can track their children's academic progress, add money to their child's accounts, access athletic information, view school breakfast and lunch menus, and check school resources through the Find it Fast A-Z Index. Students can access their Ascender portals to view schedules and stay organized. With the Jarrell ISD app, the entire school community can support student success, strengthen the educational experience, and stay connected.
The app is available to download in the Apple App Store and Google Play. Search "Jarrell ISD" to download the app and join the digital hub of your child's campus and district information.
Student and Staff Holiday
Solar Eclipse
On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will darken the sky. The eclipse can be seen in Jarrell from 12:18 - 2:58 p.m., with the maximum totality at 1:37 p.m., when it will last a little more than three minutes. Jarrell and most of central Texas are in the path of totality, meaning they are the optimal areas to view the eclipse. State officials expect more than a million people to visit the area.
The district is closed that day. Students will have a holiday, and staff will have a professional development day from home.
More information and resources are on the Williamson County Government website.
