Our Kindergarten and 1st grade students will be presenting our Spring Concert on Thursday, April 18 at 6:00 in the gymnasium. Students should wear a spring outfit that makes them feel comfortable on the stage. The theme of the concert is "Animals" and is based on the studies the students have done through their classroom literacy program. Families should plan to arrive by 5:45 in order to find parking and to make their way to the gym. Kindergarten students will report to K classrooms, and 1st grade students will report to the front of the gym. We look forward to seeing you there!!

If you requested a tree, the trees will be delivered by April 20 and will go home with the students as soon as the trees arrive. Our tree this year is the Red Oak. Planting information will be included with the trees and will also be available on the Neighborhood Forest website.

I wanted to let you all know that the Pender County Mobile Dental Van will be here starting next week and remain through most of the summer. Flyers will be sent home for your convenience. Dr. Barnes and her team are amazing and do a fantastic job with our kids. If you are interested in their services, complete the form and return to me. The Mobile team will then get your students cleaning done during the school day. They will then contact you to discuss their findings and address any concerns if any. Please let me know if you have any questions.

This month we will have a collection box in our lobby to support Carolina Cares. Carolina Cares collects home and personal care donations to support two of the local women and children's centers in our area. If you have any donations you or your student may drop them off in the collection box in the lobby.

This month is a very important for us here at TAES. It is month of the military child. We have a significant number of military families at our school. We appreciate all that our military families do and sacrifice for our country.

One of Pender County's initiatives this year is to bolster student attendance. We know that the more students are in attendance, the more successful they are. Our goal is to have a 95% average attendance. See below for our current attendance data.
