Classroom placement at Pleasant View Elementary School is a team effort involving classroom teachers, parents, school specialists, and the principal. Many factors are included in placement decisions, and we appreciate your input in helping us make an optimum placement for your child. Use the button below to complete the electronic form by April 15. One form is required per student.

* I understand that completion of this form does not guarantee placement in a specific classroom and that at the end of the placement process, the building principal will be responsible for the final assignment.

The Boise Hawks Reading Program is a four-week program divided into four goals, each goal lasting one week. Each week represents a base on the baseball diamond. After each goal is completed, the student will earn a base. When all four goals are met, and the four weeks have passed, the student has hit a HOME RUN, and they will receive a FREE HAWKS TICKET.

Over the next few week, you have a chance to earn a Hawks baseball ticket. Reading may be done alone, as a family, or a parent reading to a child. In fact, the next four weeks will be filled with the same challenge: 2.5 hours of reading each week.

Hawks Reading Packets HAVE NOT YET ARRIVED, but they should be delivered soon. Keep working on the reading and we will get them to you as soon as they are delivered. If the delivery takes too long, I will send an electronic form out for you to complete for the hours.

• Week One: March 11-15
• Week Two: Spring Break March 18-22
• Week Three: March 25-29
• Week Four: (HOME RUN WEEK) April 4-8

Logs will be due back to teachers on April 13. Happy reading, and here is to hitting your home run!

Talent show auditions will be held afterschool Wednesday, May 8th, on a first come, first serve basis. Parent/adult must be present to supervise children. The students selected must be able to commit to the parent & school performances on May 22 at 6:00 pm and May 24 during the morning. Student performance must be school appropriate and no longer than 2 minutes. Students must come to auditions prepared with music on a cd or a device with Bluetooth or headphone jack. Questions? Have some time in your schedule to help support the running club at PVE? Sign up to help scan passes as students make their laps.

Please get in touch with the office before 3:00 for any last-minute changes at the end of the day, so we have plenty of time to communicate with staff members. (If preplanned, please email both the teacher and office.)

If you are coming in at the end of the day to check out a student, please note we will not call students down after 3:45 pm. They are already cleaning up and transitioning for release at the end of the day.
