Imagination Library reaches new milestone!
Imagination Library of Oswego County reached a significant milestone in January by enrolling 50% of eligible children living in Oswego County! Over 3,100 children across the county are currently enrolled to receive a free book each month until their fifth birthday. This success would be impossible without the assistance of our Supporters and Community Partners. Together we are building young readers for a brighter future. Make sure to like and follow Imagination Library of Oswego County on Facebook, and learn more at OswegoImaginationLibrary.org.

How can you get involved in LCOC?
The Literacy Coalition of Oswego County (LCOC) is looking to increase membership and participation in its Providers Network Committee. LCOC’s Providers Committee meets quarterly via Zoom to build awareness of services, identify needs, and strengthen collaboration. It is a terrific opportunity to learn about available services and service providers and create greater awareness of the services your organization provides to the community. The schedule for the 2023 LCOC Providers Network Committee meeting is:
- Friday, 12/08/23 from 8:30 – 10:00
If you would like to participate in LCOC’s Providers Network please contact Paul Gugel at pgugel@citiboces.org or 315-963-4291
We look forward to working together with you and your organization to improve literacy in Oswego County!
Meet Kristen Fragale- LCOC Member
Where do you work, how long have you been there and what is your job title?
CiTi BOCES. I have just hit my one year anniversary this month. I am the Literacy Zone Coordinator.
Why did you become involved in LCOC?
I became involved to promote literacy improvement and lifelong learning in our community. With my current position I found it very important to become involved with LCOC.
What are you most proud of as a member of LCOC?
I am proud of the diversity our group brings, and the different programs that come together to promote literacy. I always enjoy seeing when there is a need, many members are willing to chip in and lend a helping hand.
What would you like to see next for LCOC?
I would like to see LCOC continue to support important programs in our community including Imagination Library. I have always been very fond of the program as my son is 4 and he has been a participant in the program since he was 2. He really enjoys getting books in the mail every month. It also changes his book rotation up a bit.
What's the title of the last book you read?
Stop Overthinking- Personal Growth
What brings you joy?
My family brings me joy. My 4-year-old son is so much fun. We love four wheeling and being outdoors. I enjoy gardening and reading.
