WUSD School Board Meeting Summary

The School Board held a moment of silence for Juliette Horner, WMS student, who passed away last week.

Announcement: Representatives from Ferradermis presented on their Impact Award and qualification for the FIRST World Championships in Houston in April.

Recognition: The 2024 WIAA State Wrestlers were recognized by the School Board: Ema Aranda, Lauren Buehler, Myia Cobbs, Jarvis Porcaro, Connor Friend, Odair Porras and Sebastian Cuellar.

Recognition: The 2024 State WHS Esports Team of Jayvon Garcia, Eli Trow, Lucas Klein, Eric Arredondo, and Miles Hutchison were recognized by the School Board.

The Board approved the updates to the following policies:

• 671.1, Payday Schedules
• 672.1, Methods of Purchasing

The Board approved the following donations for Ferradermis:

• $15,100.00 anonymous donation
• $2,500.00 donation from Applied Material Solutions Inc.
• $2,000.00 donation from the Weber Family
  
• $1600.00 anonymous donation
• $1,000.00 donation from NAES
  
• $1,000.00 donation from The Coburn Company, Inc.
  
• $1,000.00 donation from Streib Construction
  

School Board Meetings are held in the Whitewater High School Library with Open Session beginning at 7:00pm.
