A Message From Your Principal
Greetings, Eames Way Families!
On Monday we were delighted to have former EWS Alumni and Project 351 Ambassador Nicolas Roht return to Eames Way to present his Spring Service Project: a clothing drive for Cradles to Crayons! Together with other schools in the district, EWS will be collecting clothes that will be donated to help children suffering from clothing insecurity. Project 351 is a non-profit youth-led organization that engages one eighth grader from all 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts to lead community service projects. Nicolas was selected as the 8th grade 2024 Project 351 ambassador for Marshfield and we are so grateful to have him as a student role model in our community!
Our first and second graders enjoyed a Writer's Workshop presentation and activity with author and illustrator Emilie Boon! Under her guidance, students wrote and illustrated their own short stories and were very proud of their ever-growing skills in writing!
We ended the week with our student "Principal" and student "Assistant Principal" for the day! Eames Way was in good hands under the leadership of these two aspiring educators -- They had a VERY busy day visiting classrooms, writing positive notes and feedback for students and teachers, attending presentations, meeting with Superintendent Granatino and School Committee Member Lara Brait, and assisting students as they chose their Junior Ram Award Prizes! They even provided special surprises for our teachers at the very end of our school day! We think our students enjoyed seeing their peers in both leadership roles and can't wait for others to also experience this learning opportunity!
As a friendly reminder, we do not have school tomorrow! Enjoy the holiday weekend and we'll see you next week as we kick off April!
With Best Wishes,
Ms. Bishop, Principal
