The Prowler
Week of March 4, 2024
From Mr. Moreno's Desk:
Teachers, Staff, Parents, and Students,
This week Marks the beginning of the 5th Six Weeks. As such, please be reminded that Report Cards will be issued to students on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. We kindly ask that parents review and sign report cards and have their student return them the following day to their second period teachers.
The Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) window opened on Monday, February 19, 2024 and continues through Thursday, March 29, 2024. 5th-8th grade bilingual and ESL students will be assessed using this system throughout the upcoming weeks.
On another note, tutorials for all tested areas will continue this week. Upon returning from Spring Break tutorials will resume as scheduled. We kindly ask parents of students selected to participate in after school tutorials to ensure their students attend consistently in order to prepare them well for all upcoming assessments.
RHMS Administration wishes all our teachers, staff and students a wonderful Spring Break! We hope you make plan to enjoy some time with your families over the break, and, as always we hope our students and staff return to school on Monday, March 18th feeling refreshed and refocused.

Mrs. Melba Garcia's BIM Classes
Students in Mrs. Garcia's BIM classes had the opportunity of setting SMART Goals and using magazines to create their very own, very unique, Vision Boards for their future. Vision Boards are a visual representation of goals and a motivational tool used to help students realize their dreams. Students who had never held or read magazines before were taken back by the nostalgia of the activity and were super excited to search for the perfect pictures that represent their educational, personal, and professional goals. Thank you to RHHS Librarian, Ms. Karen Waters, for all the magazines! We could not have done this without you!

“There’s nothing to lose by giving a student a second chance. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. There’s only the possibility of strengthening a relationship, demonstrating the power of empathy, and instilling a glimmer of hopeful recovery.” @teacher2teacher
“Never forget the past, where you came from, or how difficult it was at times to be a student. Oftentimes, this is our best teacher and our best reminder that children, just like educators, do not deserve to be held hostage with a label. Believe they can!” @casas_jimmy
