Hello Primary Pups!
A Note from Mrs. Bagarozza (Mrs. B)
Hello Primary Pups,
I have thoroughly enjoyed my first few weeks as Principal of Wall Primary. Between the Friendship Ball, Read Across America Week, yoga, music class, and making Shamrock Shakes - the fun never ends here! I have had an opportunity to read to all of the classes and get to know the students a little bit more. With that in mind, I would like to share some information about me, so you can get to know your principal too!
Favorite People: My family, especially my baby girl Siena 👪
Favorite Summer Activity: Beach 🏖️
Favorite Children's Book: "The Good Egg" 📚
Favorite Food: Sushi 🍣
Favorite Color: Blue 💙
As we get closer to spring we have a lot to look forward to, especially our Spring Egg Hunt and Spring Bonnet Parade on March 27th and 28th. Please make note of all of the special happenings in March listed in this newsletter. I hope you all enjoyed some of the beautiful weather this past weekend.
Best,

From your LDTC:
More Syllable Awareness Activities
Syllables are one of the building blocks of phonological awareness, which is crucial for early literacy development. Teaching children to recognize and segment syllables in words helps them become more proficient readers and writers. It is easier for students to orally blend syllables, like “butt/er/fly” and say “butterfly”, than it is to orally blend phonemes like “d/o/g” to say “dog”. When we teach these phonological awareness skills, we should start with syllables. Here are some syllable counting videos you can watch with your child.

Student Wellness
100% Accountable
The month of March is dedicated to the exploration of the mindset, 100% Accountable.
Students will begin to apply the 100% Accountable Mindset. They will begin to take responsibility for their choices, so they can be more in control of their lives. They will practice overcoming beliefs that hold them back from their dreams. They will learn to focus their energy and make the most of their time, and they will understand learning new skills is a part of growing through life.
4 Key Components in this Mindset include:
- Own Your Life
- Overcoming Limiting Beliefs
- Focus Your Energy
- Grow Through Life
