Attendance:

Call the attendance line at 970-686-8205 if your student is going to be absent. We also encourage you to call the attendance line if you know in advance that your student will be gone. To have your child ready for early pick up during school hours, please call the attendance line to obtain a "Blue Pass".

Seussical Jr. is the weaving together of several of Dr. Seuss' best known stories, narrated by the Cat and the Hat, and following the Horton Hears a Who, and Horton sits on a Nest as the main story. This show is fantastic for all ages!

WMS Apparel

Beginning Monday, WMS students are challenged to erase all social media apps from their devices for up to 2 weeks! Students who are able to remain off of social media for 3 days, 7 days, 10 days, and even 2 weeks will write reflection papers and be entered into a raffle for prizes. Please encourage your child at home to make this a success!

This will be a 7-week series of classes. A meal for the families and childcare for siblings 9 and under are included at no cost to families, each night of class. Parent Sessions and Family Sessions are also offered in Spanish.

Thank you for supporting our Spring Scholastic Book Fair!! With your help, we have raised money to purchase books for the WMS library. If you missed the book fair this time, you can still shop online here! Our online fair is open through March 18th, and orders will be shipped directly to WMS. Thank you again for your support!!

Our school district is anticipating 900 new elementary school students between 2019 and 2024 and a near-term need to add capacity to serve 500 more middle school students. Parents of 7th Graders:

Young Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (YRYLA) is a scholarship opportunity for current 7th graders who are interested in attending a week-long leadership summer camp in Larkspur, CO. Students will meet new friends from CO and WY and gain the skills to become a better leader in their school and community. Students who have demonstrated leadership and want to enhance their skills make great applicants. Students must go through an application and interview process to be selected. Please see the attached flyer containing more information or encourage your student to see Mrs. Houtchens. WMS students who have attended the camp have enjoyed it and been forever changed.

WMS Digital Media classes (6th, 7th, and 8th grades) have all been working on ways to better encourage and display student creativity using technology. These forums are open to all students in any classes, any grades. All classes have created web sites for students
to view and post their original art work, movies, music, stories -- anything and everything that expresses their creativity. (Work must be original and school appropriate.)

In addition, 8th graders have created an Art Wall in the main hallway near the library to showcase student creativity as well. Submissions for the Art Wall can be turned into room 601, Ms. Miscovich's room.
