Hello Families,

I hope you all enjoyed spring break and are ready to get back into the swing of things at school! I had a nice, relaxing time at home with my family.

For the month of April, we will focus on authentic learning experiences for our students, and how what we are learning translates into real world experiences.

April 22nd-May 10th, Grades 3-5 will participate in annual state testing (CAASPP). CAASPP or California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress is the State of California’s system for monitoring student academic progress in ELA and math for students in 3rd through 12th grade. The primary purpose of CAASPP is to assist teachers, administrators, pupils, and parents by promoting high-quality teaching and learning through the use of a variety of assessment approaches and item types. 5th grade will also participate in the California Science Test known as the CAST.

During this time, it is important for students to eat a healthy breakfast, and be on time at school with a charged iPad.

You may have your child conduct practice testing to get acclimated to the platform.

EUSD is offering some amazing, FREE summer opportunities for our Felicita students, including theater camp, academic enrichment, and more! Felicita will be one of the academic enrichment sites, so it will be convenient for your child to attend. Although registration is closed, if interested, please add your child's name to the waitlist---Felicita students will be prioritized! I highly encourage you to take advantage of these programs. Add your name to the Summer School Program Waitlist now!
