ANZAC Prayer
Gracious and loving God,
The cross of Christ is the sign
of your desire for justice and peace for all.
Open our minds to your vision as we remember all
who suffered through Australia and New Zealand’s
involvement in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
Grant all servicepersons who sacrificed health and life
for the good of all, the gift of your deep peace.
May we who inherit the freedom for which they fought
become instruments of your peace in our homes, workplaces and world.
We ask this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen

MUSIC NEWS
THE CATHOLIC PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL 2024
The Catholic Performing Arts Festival will be taking place in Term 3 and applications are ready to be received. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talents and enjoy the variety of performances shared by other schools. We would like Queen of Apostles to be well presented in the wider Catholic community and are encouraging our competent musicians to enter.
YEARS 4 – 6
If your child learns an instrument outside of our School Instrumental Program and is competent in playing, I would like to invite them to enter The Catholic Performing Arts Festival. A short audition will be required. Please ensure that the piece of music that they wish to perform is with them for the audition. Auditions will be conducted for those students interested on Monday 22nd April at 8.30am in the Music Room. Forms will be sent home with students who audition to standard and must be returned to me by MONDAY 29th APRIL with a copy of the music that they wish to play attached to the form. A fee to enter is required. This will be sent out once we have lodged all entries and the program is formatted. It will be the parent’s responsibility to transport their child to and from the festival on the day.
Entries for students currently participating in our Instrumental Program will be organised by your child’s tutor. Tutors will be in contact with you if they feel your child is ready to enter.
