1776 Play
Exciting News! Our 7th Grade Honors U.S. History class is bringing history to life with a special reader's theater musical performance of *1776*! Students in Mr. Smithey's Honors U.S. History class delved into the pivotal moments of the American Revolution, showcasing the challenges and triumphs of our nation's founders. Students experienced a thrilling blend of music and drama as our talented students take you back to the birth of our nation. From debates to decisions, students witnessed the historical events that shaped the United States.
3D Arts
Over Spring Break, Mrs. Haase traveled to the Missouri Art Educator Association's Spring Conference in Kansas City and brought some student work with her to enter in their Student Exhibition. Sophia Pappas, Bunny Boatright, Robin Dinwiddie and Faith Woods all sent small works that had to fit on a 4"x6" space. Mrs. Haase was beyond proud when she was called to accept multiple awards for Faith Woods! Her heart sculpture received an Honorable Mention and her sugar skull won second place in the high school division. Way to go, Faith!!!
Senior 3D Portfolio students have also had their Catrina accepted into the 63rd annual Young Arkansas Artists Exhibition which will take place online from May 18- July 7, 2024. If their work is selected, we could win money for the ceramics department. The piece was made by Skyler Baird, Akiah Catron, Whitney Melick, Aiden Saiz, Ian Tyree, and Faith Woods. Good luck!
