School Library Month is a time dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the importance of school libraries and the essential role they play in education. School libraries serve as safe and welcoming environments where students can explore their interests, conduct research, collaborate on projects & develop critical thinking skills. From fostering a love for reading & supporting academic success to providing resources for students and teachers, the library is the place to be!

The Sora app was designed around the modern student reading experience. It empowers students to discover and enjoy eBooks and audiobooks from their school, for both leisure and class-assigned reading.

• May 3rd-May 10th: Spring Book Fair (closed on May 9th for a field trip)
• May 6th-May10th: Teacher Appreciation Week
• May 8th: School Nurses Day
• May 9th: Last Day for Library Book Checkouts
• May 10th: All Library Books Due! Please have your students return their books to the SMS library.
