Aprils' Teacher Feature π
Carolyn Wallace Eaton
Enjoy!
Congrats, Carolyn!
Carolyn Wallace Eaton is this month's "Teacher Feature" because of the great work she's been doing in the region in the field of mathematics! Carolyn is in her 17th year of teaching and teaches Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus at Little Falls High School. She is the math department chair and has recently been working towards certification in Work-Based Learning as she helps develop a WBL program at Little Falls. Carolyn started a PLC for math teachers this winter to help teachers navigate changes in the Algebra 1 Regents and led a session on statewide math updates for the region on the Superintendent's Conference Day. Her dedication to supporting her fellow educators and advancing mathematics education elevates the profession and shapes a brighter future for students and teachers alike.
ISS Happenings!
March was an incredibly productive month for the Instructional Support Services (ISS) team, as we had the privilege of serving 379 educators from eight component districts during Superintendent's Conference Day offerings. We also supported 28 new teachers from Central Valley, Frankfort-Schuyler, ODY, Herkimer, West Canada, Town of Webb, and Herkimer BOCES, along with providing formal instructional coaching to 63 teachers from seven districts and BOCES. In addition, 69 educators participated in our in-house professional developments and workshops! Thank you for keeping our team engaged and inspired by your dedication to professional growth.
As we continue into spring and look ahead to summer, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for instructional coaching, lesson plan development, or just to share your innovative ideas. Our team is always eager to visit your classrooms and celebrate the exceptional work happening across our districts. Whether you need support in planning for next year or simply a quiet space to work on your curriculum, we encourage you to contact us. Don't forget to explore our summer professional development opportunities, or consider using your paid curriculum planning days at the Gateway Centerβa dedicated space designed for your professional growth and success. Let us help you continue your journey in making a positive impact in the lives of your students.
