Let's Play TOGETHER and Learn TOGETHER!

Argentine Early Childhood Center welcomes families with children birth to age 5 to join the Parent/ Child Exploration Classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00-11:00 AM.

Parents are a child's first and most influential teachers. In this program, caring adults and children play together, explore, read stories, dance to music, get messy in the art area or maybe the sensory table, meet other families and receive resources and community support.

Play TOGETHER Learn TOGETHER meets on Tuesday & Thursday with Ms. Kathy & Ms. Kursty. The classrooms are located at the west end of the building. Please park in the west lot and someone will be at the end door to let you in until 10:15, if you arrive after 10:15, please go to the front door.

Tuesday, April 9: Parent/Child Exploration class resumes 10:00-11:00 am.

Friday, April 12 Family Night at Argentine, 6:00-7:30 pm. Bring the whole family for an evening of exploring and learning together! The building will be filled with math, science and literacy experiences for the whole family!

Does your family LOVE The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle? We sure do! Here are some ways to celebrate this wonderful book...

*build a fruit caterpillar with grapes, green apples, or kiwi with a strawberry head, then taste a new fruit or a vegetable together.

*retell the story using your finger as the caterpillar (just draw some eyes on your finger!)

*use a hole punch to make caterpillar holes in colored paper. What did your caterpillar eat?

*cut a butterfly shape from cardboard or paper, then tear tissue paper and glue it to the wings.

*Act out the story with YOU as the star! Crawl around and find food, hang upside down in your chrysalis, emerge as a butterfly and fly away!

Preschool Enrollment for the 2024-25 school year begins on Friday, March 1, 2024. a preschool Information Night/Open House is scheduled for Monday, March 11, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Argentine. Families are invited to tour the school, meet teachers, and have some fun! Online enrollment will be available beginning March 1 at lindenschools.org. We are so grateful to United Way of Genesee County. We received grant funds to support the Play TOGETHER Learn TOGETHER program for the 2023-2024 year. Without the funds we would not be able to continue to offer the programming for families.
