Good luck to all students trying out for drum major this week! Meet in the AHS Band Hall to prepare for the auditions. We will announce our finalists immediately after the Phase 1 auditions are completed. Our 2024-2025 Drum Majors will be announced after Phase 2 auditions are completed.

If you have morning rehearsals at AHS, please enter building from the PAC. Students will not be able to enter the band hall doors for morning rehearsal. Please arrive earlier so you can warm-up in your seats prior to rehearsal beginning.

All families that missed registration will be e-mailed instructions early this week regarding the makeup registration date. Families that miss both the original and makeup registration dates will not have priority uniform fitting at band camp. Please know that we will not fit uniforms or order uniform accessories for students until they complete their registration obligations.

*** We will offer senior pinning and photos 20-minutes before your band's call time on the May 15-16 concerts. Also - all students will be turning in their concert uniforms immediately following their band's concert. Everyone should bring a change of clothes to change into after their concert.

The AHS master schedule is being constructed based on our band classes. There will not be class conflicts with Dual Credit and STEAM classes. Do not assume that next year's band, Dual credit, or STEAM classes are the same class periods as this year. Please let Dr. Obado know if your name is not listed and planning on being in band next year.

If you are interested in serving as an ABBA Committee Chair or on a committee please complete and submit the following form here. Committee Chairs will be appointed at the May Board Meeting.

The band staff is already preparing for the 2024 marching season. See image below for the required Spring and Summer required events.

If you are interested in trying out for drum major or SLT, we will begin our training/workshops after Spring Break. They will be held (mostly) on Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6pm in the AHS Band Hall. The first 45 minutes will be general leadership/SLT training and the second 45 minutes will be specific training for drum majors. AHS & LFC Wind Ensembles will be required to attend the first 45 minutes of the SLT workshops as part of their Musicianship Class.

NEW: If you are interested in running for a band council position, descriptions and sign-up process will be e-mailed out to all 9th-11th grade students the week of April 29th. Students will only have a few days to decide if they would like to run. Ballots will be sent out the week of May 6th. The election will run for one week (through the weekend); candidates can campaign during that time.
