RC3 Seniors Get A Reality Check
RC3 seniors recently assembled for an enlightening financial literacy event aimed at equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to navigate the intricacies of life after high school. The event served as a catalyst for empowering the next generation with the tools and insights necessary to make informed financial decisions. From budgeting basics to establishing credit, participants delved into a wide array of topics designed to foster financial responsibility and independence. RC3 would like to thank Regions Bank and their volunteers for helping our students with next steps along their banking journey.
HSA Students Triumph in Credentialing Exam!
A remarkable group of seniors in the Health Science Academy took the Certificated Patient Care Technician certification exam through the National Healthcareer Association in February. The exam is not just an assessment of knowledge; it is a gateway to new opportunities, promising futures, and professional growth. Culinary Students Serve at Restaurant Week
Construction Science Interview Day
Students interested in the construction industry converged for a momentous event - the Construction Science Interview Day. With hard hats metaphorically donned and resumes in hand, these aspiring builders showcased their potential to industry professionals, leaving a lasting impression and paving the way for future careers in construction. Over 18 companies were in attendance and represented a diverse range of disciplines within the construction industry. For many, this event marked the first step towards turning their passion into a fulfilling career.
Public Service Career Fair
Students in the Fire & Emergency Services Academy engaged in a career fair. With a shared passion for making a difference, these aspiring public servants engaged with representatives from government agencies, military branches, forging connections and exploring opportunities to serve their communities. The Public Service Career Fair provided a platform for students to explore a wide range of career paths dedicated to serving the public good. They learned about internship opportunities and entry-level positions, gaining insight into the diverse array of career paths available in the public sector.

Apply now for the 2024 Ellevation Scholarship!
The 2024 Ellevation Scholarship is now open! Ellevation is awarding ten $2,000 scholarships to deserving EL students as they continue on to higher education. Think you know a student who may be eligible? Applicants must:
- Be a high school senior who has been enrolled as an English Language Learner (ELL) at some point during their K-12 education
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four- year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire 2024-2025 academic year

News from the Nurse
Parents, if your student tests positive for COVID, you may refer to your physician for guidelines. Hoover City Schools policy states students need to remain at home if they have a temperature of 100 degrees or higher. They must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication in order to return to school.

You MUST park in your assigned space every day. If you do not have an assigned parking space at RC3, you are NOT allowed to park on the campus.
Driving to RC3 is a privilege, not a right. There are consequences for failing to follow all rules associated with driving to and from RC3. For questions or concerns, please see Officer Thomas.
