National Junior Honor Society
Last week we inducted out new members into the National Junior Honor Society. It was a great event to show off the hard work and dedication of so many families! See Norwood News for a few photos!
Spring Intramurals: Session 2
The last session of Intramurals will be Volleyball and Cross Country. Both will run from the week of April 29th until the week of June 3rd. The cost is $40 per sport. Permission slips are available outside of the Guidance Office and in the main office. All permission slips and money are due Friday April 26th. Any questions, please reach out to Mr. Bell (jbell@norwood.k12.ma.us). A permission slip has also been attached to this newsletter.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Self-Defense Club (5 Week Course)
Beginning on the week of 4/29/24, Mr. Jeff Powers will be teaching students on Tuesday and Thursdays some basic jiu jitsu, boxing, and wrestling techniques. The class can hold up to 18 students. He will incorporate Gracie Jiu jitsu combative techniques, combined with some boxing and wrestling skills, to promote a well rounded, self-defense, skill set. Permission Slips will be available in the main office starting on Monday, April 22nd and are due n Friday, April 26. the cost for this short intramural class is $25.

Coakley PTO
The PTO is a parent/teacher organization that helps fund a variety of activities at CMS from assemblies, to field trips, to classroom projects and more. We would love for everyone to be a part of the PTO!
New Treasurer needed for the 2024-2025 School Year. If interested, please email coakleynorwoodPTO@gmail.com . We would have you start in May of 2024 to work with the current treasurer and transition to the new year.
PTO meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm both virtually and in person. The dates are listed below a link to the meeting online is sent out the day of the meeting.
